SHEILA KWAMBOKA FIGHTS MALARIA

 NET MALARIA OUT OF AFRICA

Sauti za Africa is a NGO based in Kenya established in December 2010. Our aim is to give a voice to the less privileged to empower themselves against issues that affect them. The organisation mainly deals with children directly or/and indirectly.

With the knowledge that Malaria is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality cases in this country, we have started an initiative dubbed 'Net Malaria out of Kenya'. This initiative seeks to help the already existing efforts of not only reducing morbidity and mortality rates in the country but also improving the knowledge and skills of the population on malaria prevention.

The 'Net Malaria out of Kenya' initiative is launching its pilot project in Nyatieko and Nyanguru villages, Mosocho Division in Kisii District. This Sunday 13/3/2011 we will have an event in Kisii Children's Home where we will be addressing the community on how best to keep malaria at bay. We will be graced by the presence of the area Chief as well as local prominent business men as well as volunteers from Nairobi,Mombasa,Kisumu and Kisii who will be involved in educating the locals and help in mosquito net and educational pamphlets distribution.

On 13th March Sauti za Africa will help contribute towards Malaria eradication in Kenya through community advocacy and distribution of treated mosquito nets in Mosocho Division, Kisii Central District.
Attached please find the event poster.
By making a pledge towards the event, you are supporting preventive measures and local services to those affected with Malaria.

My goal is to raise at least 1000 mosquito nets this month. Our trip to Kisii needs kshs40,000. A donation per person will help make this trip a success. Please help me reach that goal with your pledge. If you wish, you may mpesa all of your payment amount today in through 0722949925 to Shakira Asia who’s the project co-ordinator. Or send your donation through Eco-Bank Rapid transfer service.
We need these funds in order to facilitate effective arrangement of transport and other necessities needed for the trip.
Your kind and generous contributin is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Sheila Kwamboka.
